Proper germination of weed seeds is essential for a healthy harvest from day one. While several methods exist for germinating Feminized cannabis seeds, Marifinder recommends a simple, effective technique to get the best results.

Handling Seeds with Care

Before removing Powerplant Fast Version seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands carry bacteria that can easily contaminate seeds and hinder successful germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station

Start by moistening two paper towels with room-temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate, then spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, removing any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark place.

Monitoring the Germination Process

Check every 4-6 hours to ensure paper towels remain moist, spraying with room-temperature water as needed. Germination typically occurs within 24 to 120 hours. Once tap roots appear, plant the seeds root-down and cover them with about 2 cm of soil. Continue to spray the soil regularly to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions for Germination

Keep the germination area at a stable temperature of 70-90ºF. Use purified, room-temperature bottled water with a pH of 5.5-6. Minimize light exposure, allowing it for less than 1 minute during germination, and avoid handling seeds directly or applying pressure.
